Kristin Lavransdatter III: The Cross

Yep, finished it last year. As I was reading it for escapist purposes, I was seriously annoyed when she killed off some of the best characters. In the end, however, it was quite memoriable. And beautiful. If a little sad, in a perhaps-the-next-world-is-better-than-this-one sort of a way.

I just found out that there is a new translation. i am in the iddle of book 3 so i feel quite disappointed. The fact is that at least twice i could not comprhend important plot action. i read them over and over and truly it seems that there were missing pieces.

i am looking forward to checking the new translation for my befuddlement.
i did enjoy the archaic language.

what a great character undset has given us. she is so hard headed.
